At Middle Ages Brewing in Syracuse, their brand’s sense of humor plays a role second only to the tasty quality of their brews. Iron helped create a new brand mark and companion design system to embrace that sense of humor & hint at their role as the court jester of the craft brew world. After exploring all sorts of period jesters, kings, and queen iconography, we settled in on a simple ligature that could be applied to all kinds of packaging and marketing materials without any legibility issues. We’ve created several beers for Middle Ages (our favorite is Swallow Wit!), helping to implement their brand look & feel along the way.
