The Rockwell Museum in Corning NY, is an amazing and unique community center where people can enjoy the American experience, through the eyes of American artists from several centuries. To engage with more family visitors, the Rockwell team opened a cool Art Lab for kids right around the corner from the Museum on Market Street. We were invited to help brand the new space, and any coordinated marketing elements that would come from this new venture. To connect to the Museum’s brand, we simplified the tower graphic to its essential shapes, and then built a simple tangram-style brand system to accommodate a wide variety of content, images and sizes. We also adjusted the Museum’s color palette to include slightly more saturated, fun colors to reflect the cool activities that would take place there. These new tools allowed the internal teams to run with the assets we created, and apply the new brand to all kinds of kid-friendly materials.
