Hanford Mills Museum is an incredible, immersive historical community near Cooperstown, NY. Built in 1846, it is a marvel of human engineering, as it is powered by a single water wheel, located underneath one of the main buildings. It was functioning wood mill until the 1970s. In 2013 they reached out to Iron to help update their brand to better reflect the history and energy of the experience. We developed a new identity with a range of vintage emblems they can use for a variety of programs and projects, and delivered a style guide to help them better manage their brand. We then built a new Wordpress website to showcase their events and attractions, produced wayfinding signage, merch, and print materials.
