The Cayuga Waterfront Trail is an 8 mile, multi-use trail connecting Ithaca’s most popular waterfront destinations around the inlet. In 2003, with a sketch and dream, the Waterfront team approached Iron with the idea of branding the pathway. We, of course, agreed to help! We focused on a single graphic element that could tie a diverse set of audience touchpoints together: the wave. This symbolized the water’s edge, as well as the meandering path around the foot of the lake. Over the years we’ve helped develop all signage, a variety of interpretive kiosks, and print maps and brochures.
